If you are still undecided here are some Reasons for joining our Coastal Community Garden:

Joining a community garden has a host of benefits not only for you, your family but also the local community.

Our garden is an area where you can relax as well as become involved.

It’s a great way to meet, make lasting friendships and get together with like-minded individuals in your local area.

Opportunity to learn from others, share your knowledge not only in gardening.

If you are no already a gardener here is an opportunity to be involved in a very satisfying hobby with others to learn from.

If you don’t have space or opportunity for a garden at home, getting involved in a community garden can help fill that void.

Helping in the garden will you will have first option to its fresh, locally grown, organic produce.

Being involved provided opportunity to learn not only about gardening but sustainability and environmental issues such as habitat for local wildlife.

A wonderful place to connect with nature.

Did you know that the having your hands in the soil improves your mental health?  Mycobacterium vacii, a microorganism found in soil, compost and leaf mold, helps release your happy hormone serotonin.

Working in the garden also provides fresh air and exercise, releasing stress and having a positive impact on both you mental and physical health.

We are not only looking for individuals but families to join us.  Families gardening together have some great health benefits too, it’s an ideal time to share, bond and grow.

I’m sure I could include more benefits but I’ll leave that for you to explore when you are next in the plot.
